After finally cooling my heels, I found out that Blizzard’s got the next Diablo 4 livestream date on the books. Oh, and big surprise — it’s all about Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim. Season 9 is lurking just around the corner, so it feels like the perfect moment for a last peek at what’s about to drop.
Actually, this isn’t exactly our debut teaser of the new goodies since the Season 9 PTR (Public Test Realm, but why so serious?) wrapped up in late May. Still, there’s stuff worth catching live.
Oh, about this Diablo 4 gig — it’s happening on a Friday, June 27, which is a bit funny since Blizzard usually likes the Thursday vibe. Who knows, maybe they couldn’t resist a late-week party this time?
Anyway, it kicks off like always: 11am PT, 2pm ET, and 7pm BST. You name it: YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, TikTok — you can watch wherever. This is the grand send-off before Sins of the Horadrim drops on June 30. We’re talking everything from the new seasonal questline to the Horadric Spellcraft thingy and even Escalating Nightmares. Sounds dramatic, right?
And there’s that chance to see what actually evolved post-PTR. Those PTR folks probably won’t let ’em forget a thing or two.
Oh, and look at this picture! Honestly, sometimes these promos feel like a cryptic art gallery.
In case you’re way into numbers and tweaks, they’ve got you covered with the big balance changes spiel. Developers will guide the whole show, with a Q&A at the end — because who doesn’t like a good chinwag?
They’re bringing back the post-show Sanctuary Sitdown chat too, with community host Nacho jawing with Aislyn Hall — they’ll chat about the new season and tackle Discord queries. Love the guy, but why Nacho? Because, chips and cheese?
Something snazzy for Twitch lovers this time. If you catch any Diablo 4 stream during the Developer Update, boom — free skin. Just 30 minutes is all it takes to snag the Lacuni’s Pupil Sorcerer Staff. And no, you don’t even need to watch the main show!
