Beyond just accumulating Lacrima of Circulation, conquering these adversaries yields impressive gear and a substantial haul of Lacrima—a reward that players will encounter frequently as they traverse through Khazan’s narrative.
Once you encounter that first Revenant of Adversity in the Forgotten Temple just before facing off against Viper, you’ll notice that these Crimson Netherworld Rifts start cropping up all over the place. Especially during the mission that unfolds in the Phraugh Village, where you’ll find several of these rifts dotted around key areas near Blade Nexus checkpoints. It’s as if the game is guiding you to capitalize on these locations as prime spots for early-to-mid-game grinding.
It’s not unusual to stumble upon six or seven Crimson Netherworld Rifts in a single room within “The First Berserker: Khazan,” and this seems to hint at an intention for players to take on these Revenants in bulk. The sheer volume of rewards, showering players with ample Lacrima and new gear, highlights their critical role in Khazan’s overall growth and progression strategy.
Taking a detour to tackle every Crimson Netherworld Rift transforms the usual grinding routine into a lucrative venture, promising around 30,000 to 40,000 Lacrima in one outing. Dedicating about half an hour to clear out each Revenant of Adversity, along with the regular foes that respawn, and then resetting at a Blade Nexus to repeat the cycle allows players to stockpile a significant amount of Lacrima, equipment, and, not to forget, the indispensable Lacrima of Circulation essential for rallying support in boss battles. Even if you’re solely hunting for more Lacrima of Circulation, rest assured that your farming efforts will pay off through a treasure trove of gear and regular Lacrima you’ll accumulate.
The game doesn’t leave finding these grinding sweet spots to chance. It’s as if Neople intentionally sprinkled these opportunities along Khazan’s path, nudging players to fortify themselves if they hit a challenging boss or area. Unlike the usual frantic search for the best grinding areas in a Soulslike, here they are, presented on a silver platter—albeit a challenging one—to make the leveling experience more rewarding and enjoyable all around.
