You know, sometimes I just stumble upon these odd little gems. Like this game, Ritual of Raven. Seriously, it’s coming to Nintendo Switch next week. Mark your calendar for August 7. Maybe not? But hey, might be worth checking out.
So, grab your Book of Shadows, I guess? This game’s a cozy, laid-back farming sorta experience. But twist alert: you actually don’t do the farming. Yeah, had me confused too. You’ve got these Arcana Constructs to handle the dirty work – planting, harvesting, all that. And it’s kinda magical.
Thing is, this world’s got a story. Something about magic traditions and bungled rituals. Left folks with missing bits of their lives and weird, sputtering portals. You, obviously, fall through one because why not? And who do you meet? A witch named Sage—of course. Apparently, you’re the hero she needs to find her missing Familiar. Love that. You get a cheeky Familiar named Raven, and off you go, wandering around with this bird, picking up knowledge and ingredients for some seriously powerful rituals. Collect all the knowledge, meet the Portal Keepers, bring peace—or something like that—to the portals causing all the village drama.
Anyway, pause for a moment, let’s talk features. These Arcana Constructs, ever tried harvesting lavender by hand? Nope, leaves it pretty much useless. Construct things, they’re your garden buddy. You’ve got 22 of them, all magical and enchanted, keeping your herb garden in check.
And then, they’ve got these neighbors. Quirky’s an understatement, really. But hey, bond with them, swap stories, maybe a few ingredients too.
Ah, moons! Totally forgot about them. Harvests change with moon phases. Sounds cool, right? Charge crystals, manipulate moon phases—at the moon shrine, no less. Moon magic is… more mystical than you’d think. Decorating’s a thing too—need to make that new land feel homey. There’s Pistachio’s for all your out-of-this-world furniture needs. Could spend hours there, probably will.
Collections? Yes, please. Extract crystals, fill libraries, yank artifacts from portals with a fishing claw. Honestly, doesn’t that sound like a wild ride?
We’re cooking up a review for all this chaos over at PS4Blog.net, so swing by if you’re curious. Expect some real nitty-gritty about Spellgarden and Team17’s creation. Until then, keep wondering about those magical moon phase shenanigans and whatnot.
