Oh man, where do I even start with this? So, Survios, right—this game dev company—just said they’re gonna throw a flatscreen version of “Alien: Rogue Incursion” onto PC and PS5. And they’re calling it the “Evolved Edition,” which, I don’t know, sounds kinda fancy, doesn’t it?
Alright, so picture this: the game hit PSVR 2 and PC VR headsets late last year and, like, it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, ya know? People had mixed feelings or whatever. But then they rolled out some patches, tweaking how those creepy Xenomorphs behave. Made them less predictable, I guess. Anyway—wait, no—back to the point. They’re now reimagining it for Steam and the PlayStation Store. September 30th, 2025. That’s the date. Mark it or don’t, your call.
Here’s where it gets juicy. You’ve got Zula Hendricks, this badass ex-Colonial Marine, poking her nose into Weyland-Yutani’s dirty little secrets. You’ve also got her robot buddy, ‘Davis 01’. Together, they head to planet Purdan. I don’t know how to say it, but I imagine it has these weird alien skies. Anyway, they’re sneaking into this Xenomorph-infested research facility with some serious, like, stealth vibes and firepower. Sounds intense, right?
So, this release is Part One. Kinda like how movie studios love making us wait forever for sequels. Survios said they’re cooking up Part Two, which’ll feature nastier baddies and tougher odds. But hey, who really knows when it’ll drop? Maybe next week, maybe next decade. Okay, not really, but still.
Oh, and by the way, here’s a fun fact: this isn’t the first time Survios has flipped a VR game to flatscreen. Back in 2021, they did the same with “Big Rumble Boxing: Creed Champions.” Yeah, they took this VR boxing game, “Creed: Rise to Glory,” and turned it into an arcade fighter. Wild, right? Stuff like this makes you wonder where gaming is headed. Or maybe it doesn’t. Who am I to say really?
Anyway, there it is. A little raw, a little messy, kind of like my living room—but that’s a story for another day.
