Ah, Into the Radius 2… what a wild ride we’re in for. So here we are, talking about this survival shooter bumping its way to Quest 3 and 3S later this month. Yep, it’s happening. Just something a buddy mentioned while I was zoning out. This game’s all about making it through this funky, hostile place called the Pechorsk Security Zone. No idea why they named it that, but hey, it sticks with you. You can go solo or drag a friend along—your choice.
Originally, this gem from CM Games, some folks in Estonia, popped up on Steam Early Access. But yeah, now it’s prepping to hit Quest 3 and 3S. Surprise, it’s dropping on May 21. Feels like there’s always something coming out, doesn’t it?
Anyway – oh, wait – let’s talk details. The Quest 3 version isn’t getting everything PC VR has right away. Kinda like when you buy a new car, but the cup holders don’t fit your oversized mug. CM Games says they’ll work on it though. At first, no Pechorsk Outskirts or Distortion Zones. Bummer. No cross-platform multiplayer “at the moment” either. Can’t have it all, I guess. By the way, Quest 2: not even an option. Decision’s been made.
But hey, not all doom and gloom. They’ve nailed some stuff already. That ‘Ghost Town’ update? Yeah, it brought things like customizable chest rigs, and you can yak to your partner in co-op with proximity voice chat. And, of course, new guns and gadgets. Those things we love to collect, right? All set for launch. Who doesn’t love a good gadget?
Into the Radius 2 is up on Steam Early Access if you’re itching to dive in early. Just waiting on the Quest buddies to catch up on May 21. Keep your eyes peeled – who knows what’s next?
