Whoa, so we hit up the Summer Game Fest, another one in the books. Flew out to LA last week—yep, sunny California, and checked out just about every kind of game you could imagine. Way too many—like indie nuggets to major blockbusters.
Alright, pause—honorable mentions coming in. These games, we didn’t exactly play them hands-on. Mostly watched ‘em, but hey, caught a good vibe. Just couldn’t touch and feel the madness, ya know?
-
Resident Evil Requiem – Capcom’s going all out, it seems. Tense feels all around. "Addictive fear," they say. It’s back to Raccoon City! First-person, third-person—you pick. Oh, fans are gonna lose it.
-
Onimusha: Way of the Sword – Not even a die-hard fan? Doesn’t matter. Keep an eye on this one. It’s a cocktail of action, folklore, and hope—weirdly enough—that it’ll drop more footage soon.
- Directive 8020 – So, sort of played this, more like a peek into madness. In space, avoiding monsters. Tension, sweat, and all that jazz. More soon—story-wise, on ComingSoon, they tell me.
Burning down to Bandit Trap. Yeah, I’m all Wii U nostalgia for asymmetrical stuff, and whoa, this game delivers. Cartoon-level chaos in a house full of traps. One dude traps, others loot. Chaos—total madness.
Crimson Desert sorta bugs me. Why the bland name? Anyway, dive into it, and boom, it’s packed. Like Witcher meets some other wild concoction. Paragliders and all that. Just don’t confuse it with… others.
Ah, LEGENDARY moment seeing Deadpool VR! Twisted Pixel back at it. Harris voicing Deadpool? Hilarious. Hopes pinned on PS VR2. So fingers crossed!
Then there’s Dosa Divas—crazy blend of RPGs and dosas. Sisters teaming up, cooking, and combat! What’s not to love, right? Funnily feel the world of food-can-heal.
Hmm, shooters—a dime a dozen, yet FBC: Firebreak breaks through. Remedy ditches those free-to-play traps. Set in Control’s world. Destruction of sticky notes villains! Coming mid-June, I think.
Sneaky talk on Marvel Cosmic Invasion. Buzzing with anticipation—waiting on that embargo lift. Soon!
Side-note on Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound – Think retro, side-scrolling ninja awesomeness. PC folks, hit up a demo. For others, just six weeks out.
Pragmata finally getting its moment. Interactive, futuristic shooter-puzzles. Real-time mind exercises against robots. Curious? Me too. Took a snippet in, hooked already.
Reviving memories, Ratatan—rhythm gaming on another level. Drum to command cute battalions. It’s a roguelike now. Did I mention, Patapon’s spirit? Boss takedowns are epic. Must try that again.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, Soulslike on show-floor chaos. Oh, did I struggle? Yep. But cracking its rhythm changed the game—literally. If you like patience and precision, this’ll be your jam.
Anyway, messed up the order there, but you get me, right? Loads of games, noises, textures, emotions. Let’s see where these take us.
