Nintendo Downloads – July 3, 2025 – Update

Alright, so here goes my attempt at making this sound like a real human just rambling on.

So, don’t look at me like it’s all my fault when I show up late, groggy, whatever. I swear, it wasn’t Go Fest making me walk kilometers (miles? geez, I’m mixing ’em up again) that tuckered me out. Nope, it was the heart-pounding terror of maybe my apartment going Noah’s Ark ’cause of a pipe leak. Seriously, homeownership is just thrilling sometimes.

Anyway, this week kicks off Q3 and it feels… weirdly dull? Maybe it’s the holiday hangover from Canada Day and the 4th of July. Or maybe we’re all just sleepwalking until Super Mario Strikers pops back on the scene to save us from boredom.

And let’s talk releases. Side note: where did Switch 2 disappear to? Feels like we’re waiting for a bus that ain’t coming. This dry spell, though? We’ve got a third installment of something I swear we never saw the second of. My memory’s a sieve, but still. Also, a Slender-based title. Never was a fan — too creepy for me.

Now, I’m guessing shadowdrops won’t be ambushing us like last week, fingers crossed? Random — oh, and speaking of randomness, we missed something in our usual archive dive: Crazy Balloon. I know, absolutely riveting.

So then, asking our Japanese language peeps — is EggConsole a go without needing to cram kanji? Apparently, it’s more action RPG, less text-heavy. So maybe we’re good?

Catch the Irem Collection Volume 3, which sounds fancy, for 25 bucks, Tuesday lands it on your, uh, digital doorstep. Slender Threads (not my jam) and Poly Bridge 3 are tagging along too. And — out of left field — No Heroes Here 2, but wait, were there heroes at all initially?

Here’s a fun adventure: Touhou Artificial something Arcadia. Good luck keeping track of that title. For a chill Friday night, try out All The Words She Wrote. Ever sit and think “words could’ve been said better?” Maybe just me.

Ah, sales! Nintendo’s throwing a summer blowout, slicing prices on Xenoblade classics. Great news for those of us with dusty Wii U consoles yearning for relevance again.

### Across the Pond in Europe

Same Irem Collection dropping Tuesday, wee bit pricier than here. Oh, and don’t forget Poly Bridge 3, weaving its structural magic or catastrophic collapses (depends on how you build).

Then there’s Slender-y stuff. Honestly, you couldn’t pay me to play it alone at night.

### Swinging by Japan

Guess who’s got… wait for it… Slender Threads too! But for like ¥2920? Conversion’s a mystery to me, my wallet screams in all currencies. Got ventures like No Heroes Here 2 over there too. EggConsole’s showing up, reviving nostalgia like it’s back in fashion.

Phew, so there’s the stream of this week’s gaming attractions, more or less. Things could pick up or flatline, who knows, right? Just crossing fingers that nothing drastic happens—water leaks included.
