Sure thing, here’s a reimagined piece for you:

Oh man, where do I even start with this? So, Leslie Benzies, right? That guy who was a big deal with GTA has popped back onto the scene with a new game, MindsEye. And it’s kind of funny, or sad — take your pick — but it’s got “Mostly Negative” reviews on Steam already. I can’t say I’m too surprised, maybe just a little disappointed? Yeah, let’s go with that.
Anyway, the game dropped on June 10 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. And get this, it’s supposed to be like GTA. Maybe too much like GTA? Who knows. But around ten years after Benzies had this messy fallout with Rockstar and Take-Two, he’s launched this under his new gig, Build a Rocket Boy. Pretty cool name for a studio, right? You’d think with the experience he has — from GTA to Red Dead Redemption — this would be a home run. But, oh boy, seems like MindsEye is just… stumbling.
The reviews are dipping low, like way down there. Players are claiming it’s riddled with bugs and optimization issues. Like, they’re saying it’s “rushed.” Ouch. Even some folks who like the story are griping about annoying glitches. Those pesky bugs struck again! And, honestly, the performances are off. You’d think on high-end systems it would run smooth. Guess again. On Steam, not so hot, but on PS5 and Xbox? Things look slightly better. At least they have a bit of love there.
Oh! Before I forget, the game has this rating of 3.26 out of 5 on the PS Store from almost 900 users. Xbox players are a bit more generous, just under 4 stars from 127 ratings. Makes you wonder if Benzies and his team are scratching their heads, maybe thinking, “What happened here?”
So, MindsEye’s launch didn’t exactly blast off. Yeah, expectations were sky-high ‘cause Benzies has a solid history, but the PC issues? Not helping. Folks noticed these problems early on, but, strangely, they were brushed off by the studio’s top brass. A bold move.
Anyway, now the devs have a mountain of work ahead. Imagine, trying to fix all this with patches. It’s not impossible, I guess, but it’s going to be tough. Pulling an all-nighter or ten might be on the cards for them.
So there it is. MindsEye — with its rough and tumble debut, and the boys at Build a Rocket Boy likely gearing up for some serious patchwork. Will they turn it around? Maybe. I’ll just be here, mixing up popcorn, ready to watch the next episode unfold.
