Ah, so here we are. Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist. Or as I like to call it, “the VR escape I didn’t know I needed but now can’t stop thinking about.” This is one of those times where my brain decides to hyper-fixate on something utterly random, but hey, maybe there’s a reason for it? Anyway, before I derail myself too far—right, focus. Kickstarter. Next week. They’re trying to breathe life into that old gem, Orbus VR. Remember that one?
It kicks off June 24th. Mark your chaotic calendars. Here’s the wild twist: they want this to land on Quest 3 and SteamVR like it’s some sort of early holiday gift. Except, hold your horses, it’s late next year. Yeah, patience isn’t my strong suit either.
So, who’s behind this magic? A bunch of ex-Orbus players. Talk about a plot twist. They ditched regular life to make Resolute Games last February. It’s like deciding on a whim to move to a new city just ’cause it felt right.
Now, what’s this game all about anyway? Imagine wandering into a land shrouded in mystery, following in the footsteps of some hero named Eldranis—sounds intense, right? You’re defending this place against ancient, lurking darkness. I can already feel that spine-tingling sensation.
And did I mention playable classes? Warrior, Mage, Monk, Alchemist. Sounds like the start of a bad joke, but no—it’s serious business. Raids, dungeons, taverns with mini-games, fishing, foraging. Kind of feels like they took everything cool and dumped it in here. Three PvP zones, just in case you’re feeling scrappy.
Now, the whole money thing—I can never keep track of numbers. But apparently, they’re starting with $25,000, just like Zenith did. Seems doable, right? Or maybe not. I’m no financial wizard.
VR MMORPGs are a tricky thing. Orbus VR went down earlier, like some tragic love story. And Zenith’s creators, Ramen VR, had similar drama—money woes. But hey, Ilysia VR is doing alright since its 2020 Kickstarter debut. Updates galore and trinkets to buy. The usual.
Eldramoor is slated for December 2026, with an alpha next year if you’re itching to get an early look—betas following in 2026 summer. Double-check those dates though. My perception of time is… let’s say, unique.
Jump on that Kickstarter train come June 24th, if you’re curious. Or hit up their Steam page—go on, wishlist that bad boy.
