Ah, today was something else. So, here’s the thing that went down earlier: Elden Ring Nightreign servers just decided to take a breather for about an hour. Why? Maintenance work, they say. A new patch was coming up, the 1.01.2. Not a whopper of a patch, mind you—just a little one, so don’t get too hyped.
Okay, bug fixes, yes—we love those, right? But get this, they’re introducing nerfs. Yeah, not everyone is thrilled about that. One of those? You might not have even realized it was a thing before.
Just a sidebar here—sorry, there’s this cookie thing on the site that pops up, kind of annoying, right? Maybe we should let them know. Anyway, moving on.
So, there was another patch last week, 1.01.1 on June 2. No big changes this time around, though. Just two balance touch-ups in this new update, worth a mention, I guess.
You ever notice when the ‘Add (Magic/Lightning/Holy) to Weapon’ Passive goes all out and makes your physical attack super strong? Turns out, it’s been more of an oops than a feature, but only on bows. Everyone’s been going all Legolas with the bows lately, so this is going to hit hard if it was just a glitch boosting them.
Then there’s this other weird tweak. Some weapon skills, non-direct ones, would inflict status effects and attack powers they shouldn’t have. Made them a bit OP, honestly. But that’s sorted out now.
Oh, there’s this image of The Recluse in a purple sky—kind of artsy, if you’re into that sort of thing. Captures that FromSoft vibe, you know?
Elsewhere in patch land, they’ve dealt with some drop-off damage stuff. Weapons with certain effects should show up in the loot chests again. So, if you’ve been hunting that pesky demon merchant in Limveld, guess what? They’ll reappear like they’re supposed to.
Here’s the rundown—keep up if you can:
– Bow power fix for the ‘Add (Element) to Weapon’ effect.
– Non-direct attacks status fixes.
– Loot pool adjustments with that “Projectile Damage Drop-Off Reduced” thing.
– Demon Merchant respawn issue tackled.
– Libra’s repetitive action bug addressed.
– Stability fixes against Adel, Baron of Night.
– Rescue bug with Wormface dealt with.
The developer tossed in a little heads-up saying, “Hey, some issues are still lingering, and we’re on it.” So no promises it won’t break again, but they’re trying.
Oh, and let’s hope today’s server break didn’t mess with anyone’s grand schemes to get that super-rare Nightreign thingy. But we’ve got your back—check out the Elden Ring Nightreign guide if you’re puzzled. It’s always there, downtime or not.
And now I’ve kind of lost where I was going with this, but you get the gist, right?
