Wow, so here’s what happened with this game, Eldramoor. This Kickstarter thing, which is like crowdfunding, yeah? They wrapped it up and snagged over $170k to get this big VR MMORPG, whatever that stands for (I should probably look it up, but anyway), off the ground. Kudos to Resolute Games, I gotta say.
So, they kicked off this campaign back on June 24th—yep, not even a month ago—and bam, they hit their $25k minimum funding goal in, like, 1.5 hours! I mean, what were people even doing in that time? Must’ve been quite a rush. By the end of the first week, they’d blasted past $100k, unlocking all sorts of stretch goals. Stuff like a bonfire healing system? I imagine it’s exactly what it sounds like. Plus new air and earth powers, species—you name it.
The game’s bold, like, really massive. Different biomes, lots of classes (whatever those are in game-speak), crafting stuff, dungeons, player houses—which I assume doesn’t mean they give you a literal house. Just the usual jazz in these big online worlds, I guess.
The devs, Resolute Games, have this to say about Eldramoor (it sounds like a Tolkien novel, doesn’t it?): the game’s massive, wild zones to explore, lots of NPCs to chat with, treasures, challenges—just don’t stick to the paths, I guess, or you’ll miss out on half the fun. Run, climb, glide around. Honestly, sounds like a good cardio plan.
At its heart, it’s all about being social. You’ve got guilds—basically clubs, I guess—dungeons, PvP stuff. Something’s always happening. Oh, perks like trade between players, power-ups, and an open bonfire system for who knows what.
But listen, even though they’ve got a head start with Kickstarter cash, they’ll probably need more outside funding to keep the dream alive. Big visions take big money—go figure. Anyway, they’re planning on hitting us (the backers, not literally—I hope) with this game by December 2026. Supporting Quest 3 and SteamVR headsets too, so there’s that.
If you want more on this, go peek at their Steam page or see what’s cooking in the Kickstarter updates, even though that bit’s done now. Brace yourself, though. This might be one wild ride.
