I was watching this Honkai: Star Rail version 3.4 livestream earlier today, right on time, you know. The buzz—what everyone’s buzzing about—is the new characters. Every time this HoYoverse game rolls out something fresh, it’s like all eyes are on who’s joining the lineup next. So yeah, they unveiled who’s stepping into this free-to-play RPG soon.
Oh, and hey, big moment here—it’s the Fate/stay night collab! They first teased this mash-up last August. Remember when Fate/stay night finally got its English voice? That’s when they dropped the hint. Took a bit long but finally, we’re just about there.
So, new faces! Saber, popular as ever, is coming in swinging as a 5-Star Wind/Destruction (gets her own banner too, if you’re into that). And Archer? Everyone logging into HSR during the collab can snag him free. Both of them are hanging around a bit longer than usual, from Version 3.4 till the end of 3.6. Which is, what, November?
Guess what? Phainon’s ready to step into the spotlight as a playable character now. Finally! He’s been around as a major NPC since Version 3.0. A 5-Star again, with some Physical/Destruction flair. All this is happening in Phase 1, because—well, why keep us waiting, right?
And hold on, it’s like they’re throwing a party with six rerun banners! Tribbie, Sunday, and Sparkle return to Phase 1, and then Firefly, Jingliu, and Blade jump in during Phase 2. No new characters at that point, but hey, doesn’t seem lacking!
Oh, and the Stellaron Hunters! Some tweaks for Kafka, Silver Wolf, and Blade battle mechanics. Plus, a new outfit for Firefly, and maybe Jingliu’s kit gets a boost too. Kind of curious if she’s just switching sides—or maybe not.
Anyway, mark the date, ’cause Honkai: Star Rail 3.4 goes live on July 2nd, with Phase 2 rolling in on July 23rd. Check out the full livestream if you’re into that—link’s somewhere in there.
Now, back in May, 3.3 brought Hyacine and saw The Herta’s return. Plus, the second phase introduced Cipher. Mixed feelings on the English voice actor changes for the Trailblazers, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike situation. Some other voices like Dan Heng and Himeko are still up in the air, which—let’s face it—adds a bit of tension, doesn’t it?
