Okay, so here’s the thing I just found out about Elden Ring Nightreign. You know, the game that everyone’s been talking about since its launch? Turns out, FromSoftware is up to something sneaky—like, for real. They promised us some new stuff, right? Kind of like a duo mode, plus more intense battles with these boss dudes called Nightlords. But guess what? They pulled a fast one, and now things are getting interesting.
First off, we’re still waiting on these Duo Expeditions. Like ticking boxes on a never-ending list, am I right? But, lo and behold, everyone’s buzzing because an enhanced Nightlord fight just popped up outta nowhere. I’m talking ‘poof!’—here it is.
Here’s where it gets kinda funny. There I was, logging off after a day of covering some minor patch notes. You know, the usual yawns. And then bam! Everything changed a few hours later with zero fanfare. No press release, nada. Sneaky, sneaky, FromSoft.
Players unearthed it first. A new boss, more savage than ever. They call them Everdark Sovereigns now. And get this—a new one shows up every week, only if you’ve already beaten the original baddies. Right now, it’s the Sovereign of Gaping Jaws (or Adel, for those in the know). But next week? It’s all about the Sentient Pest, and then later, Darkdrift Knight. Talk about keeping us on our toes—or maybe just pulling our leg?
They’re crafting these Sovereign versions for other Nightlords too. You got names like Tricephalos, Augur, and, uh, some others… they’ll be rolling in slowly but surely. Adel’s available until June 25, so gear up if you wanna tackle that beast.
Oh! Can’t forget: there’s this new NPC wandering around who’s a bit of a big deal. Beat these boss dudes, and you earn Sovereign Sigils. No idea what exactly those are, but they sound cool, huh? Trade ’em with the NPC for relics and other, I guess, useful things. You even snag extra Sigils the first time around for each Sovereign! Not too shabby.
This NPC also does something with the Nightreign’s Shifting Earth. Like, you don’t have to beat three Nightlords just to change the map event or whatever. Handy? Yep.
Hang around long enough, and you’ll stumble upon even more stuff, no doubt. For those still battling Nightlords, there’s this handy-dandy weaknesses guide or something to help you not get clobbered. And if you’re scratching your head over something else, just check out our Elden Ring Nightreign guide.
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Game on, Nightreign adventurers. Let’s see where this chaos takes us next.
